The Asus EEE PC 1000HE is powered by an Intel Atom N280 processor clocked at 1.66 GHz, is backed by 1 GB RAM and offers 160 GB of storage space. Its six-cell lithium-polymer battery allows it to run non-stop for around 9.5 hours. It boasts of a near-full-sized keyboard and a LED-backlit 15-inch screen.
Tradition-wise, Asus started the netbook craze. It continues to rule this niche, evident in the success of the Asus Eee PC 1000HE. Asus’ netbooks are known to have a quality build, but it improved 1000HE with regards to its ergonomic design. The 1000HE is designed to allow air to go in and out of the chassis more easily, which aids a lot in the heat management of this netbook.

PROS
The Asus Eee PC 1000HE’s main appeal comes from its good processing power, sleek design, comfortable keyboard, battery life of up to 9.5 hours, good quality speakers. Another appeal: it remains a good deal for one’s pocket given these features.
CONS
In contrast, the Asus Eee PC 1000HE operates noisily and a port for Expresscard slot is not featured. Its glossy finish may also not appeal to everyone.
CONCLUSION
The Asus Eee PC 1000HE is a well-balanced netbook in terms of design and performance. Its battery life is enviable and is most likely what would convince most people to buy one for themselves. If your needs are not of the complex variety, we can definitely recommend this netbook. However, we would advise a RAM upgrade for you to be able to commit to some serious computing.
